Devyn Holliday is a black and indigenous researcher, cultural enthusiast, and development practitioner from the California Bay Area. Currently based in London, UK she works as a researcher and social development practitioner specializing in indigenous Oceania as well as Small Island Developing States. She examines the intersection between people and their environment, climate change migration, natural disaster and sustainable development. Devyn also works on social development projects in Oceania geared at building more resilient and inclusive societies.

Devyn earned a master’s degree in Anthropology and Development Management from LSE where she examined climate change migration in the modern era, specifically focusing on Oceania and looking at the intersection between culture and land. She received a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Princeton University where she conducted extensive ethnographic research complete with interviews with community members and experts on indigenous issues in Oceania (Fiji, Aotearoa, Australia). She also studied at the University of Auckland in New Zealand with a concentration in Maori and Pacific Cultural Studies.
