Marion Atieno Osieyo is an award-winning strategist and writer working to restore humanity’s relationship with the natural environment. She has launched several platforms for global action on sustainable development. In 2016, she co-designed and launched an online media platform, Young Leaders for Dev, hosted by the European Commission. Marion has also designed and led intergenerational dialogues and retreats on sustainable development in Nairobi, Brussels and Accra for activists and senior policy-makers. Marion currently convenes a global network on SDGs across WWF’s global network of 90 offices. She facilitates collective action for the implementation of the SDGs through strategic advocacy, private sector engagement and coalition building for the SDGs. She has previously worked with UNHCR, U.S. Congress and the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women. As a volunteer, Marion has worked with local women’s organisations including Baytree Centre, WONDER Foundation and Women at the Well. In 2020, she was awarded a WWF Panda Legend Award for Integrity and in 2015, she was awarded ‘Future Leader of International Co-operation and Development’ by the European Commission. She holds a Master of Science in Global Governance and Diplomacy from the University of Oxford.
